For the love of pete....

  1. Manual tapping. You wince, once they start to bind. Take your hand away and dry your palm. Add some oil. Gently reapproach and change your grip on the tee handle and hope for the best. Wiggle. "It's moving!" your internal voice says, just as you hear "click".. then "expletive".

If it's in the CNC, nothing stops it until the machine is done ruining the hole.

  2. Yes sir, it was squealing, so I changed fluid. Backed out and flushed it a few times, and then it just popped like a piece of glass, on second moving fine, next pieces laying on the work. My "touch" wasn't quite there.

  3. I think there's a time warp thing going on with taps.
They go forward in time, break, and only then do they send the warning signals.
